Rob Marinec appeared in 13 games with the Pistol Shrimp during the 2023 season, batting .261 with 12 hits, 3 doubles, 2 home runs, 10 walks, 11 runs scored, and 14 runs batted in. 

At North Central College, Marinec earned 4 All-American and 10 All-Region honors. He holds 7 North Central baseball program records including 268 hits, 240 runs batted in, 201 runs scored, 475 total bases, 60 doubles, and 189 games played. Marinec finished is college career with a .371 average, a .657 slugging percentage, and a .465 on-base percentage.

Marinec signed his first professional contract, with the Frontier League's Joliet Slammers, prior to the start of the 2024 season.
