Bio

Fineas (Finn) Del Bonta-Smith, appeared in two games for the Pistol Shrimp during the 2019 season. He was drafted directly from the Pistol Shrimp and San Jose State University 669th overall by the Colorado Rockies in the 22nd round of the 2019 MLB Draft.

Finn spent his first two minor league seasons with the Rockies' Low-A and High-A teams before being promoted to the Double-A Hartford Yard Goats in 2022. Following the 2022 minor league regular season, he was one of six Rockies selected to the Arizona Fall League. He appeared in 9 games in the 2022 Arizona Fall League, recording a 6.48 ERA with 18 strikeouts. 

He just wrapped up his 4th MiLB season pitching all of 2023 for the Hartford Yard Goats. In 135 minor league games, Finn carries a 3.88 ERA with 22 holds, 11 saves, and 219 strikeouts. Following the season, he was selected in the first round of the 2023 MiLB Rule 5 Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates and assigned to the Triple-A Indianapolis Indians.
